Junction function

Variant II of the horizontal U plinth = greater overhang d=60-100 mm + OB-39 Z-profile (instead of the OB-41 angle from variant I). Suitable for tall, premium facades.

Critical installation aspects

  • OB-39 Z-profile = profiled “Z”-shaped sheet metal; stiffer than an angle, better at handling large overhangs.
  • OB-06 internal flashing instead of OB-07 (minor geometric difference for the larger overhang).
  • Drainage strip in the ground below the drip edge.
  • Strength check after the first season — verify Z-profile stiffness under wind load.
