Product characteristics — termPIR® AL R-eco

termPIR® AL R-eco is an insulation board with a PIR core manufactured from recycled raw materials (recycled content >10%), covered on both sides with the gas-tight Al+paper+PE facing — identical to standard termPIR® AL. Technical parameters are the same as AL: λD = 0.022 W/(m·K), σ10 ≥ 120 kPa, water absorption WL(T)2 ≤ 2%. The difference lies solely in the environmental documentation — R-eco carries an EPD Type II and a CAM declaration, qualifying it for tenders with environmental criteria and BREEAM/LEED audits.

Declared λD = 0.022 W/(m·K) across the full range 20–250 mm.

Applications

Identical application range to termPIR® AL:

  • Pitched roofs — over-rafter and under-rafter
  • Flat roofs, terraces — mechanical fixing
  • External walls — triple-layer construction (cavity wall)

Technical note: the gas-tight Al/PE facing is not suitable for the ETICS system (dedicated product termPIR® ETX) nor for washable suspended ceilings (dedicated product termPIR® AGRO AL CEIL). For precast concrete walls use termPIR® AGRO P-REV with PE facing resistant to concrete corrosion.

The R-eco variant is justified by documentation where the project requires EPD Type II, CAM, or certified recycled content.
