How many sandwich panels does a hall need?
Example: a 20 × 40 m hall with 6 m walls, a 10% gable roof and module 1000 mm is approx. 120 wall panels (80 on the long walls + 40 on the gables, incl. slope-cut pieces) and 80 roof panels of approx. 10.05 m each. The configurator calculates the exact length of every panel and groups them into a cutting list for ordering.
How to calculate sandwich panels for a hall roof?
Roof plane length = (hall width / 2 for a gable roof) divided by the cosine of the slope angle + eaves overhang. Panel count = hall length / module (usually 1000 mm) × number of roof planes. If a plane is longer than the maximum production length, panels are joined with an overlap — this requires a slope of min. 5°.
What sandwich panel thickness for a hall?
Per Polish WT 2021 (manufacturer Gór-Stal data): heated rooms (≥16°C) — wall min. 120 mm (100 mm in the PIR MAX version), roof min. 150/190 mm; halls at 8–16°C — wall from 60 mm, roof 80/120 mm. Cold stores and freezers need a separate design. The configurator shows U for each thickness in step 2.
Panel in module 1000 or 1140?
Module 1140 mm gives ~12% fewer joints and faster installation — available for wall panels with visible fixing. Concealed-fixing panels (aesthetic facade) are produced in module 1000 mm only. Roof panels — module 1000 mm.
What is the maximum sandwich panel size?
The maximum production length of Gór-Stal sandwich panels is 16.5 m. Above 13.6 m a panel no longer fits a standard trailer — it requires oversized (long-load) transport, which raises the delivery cost. The configurator flags such items and splits longer roof planes into overlapped segments (slope min. 5°).
Can I order panels cut to size?
Yes — sandwich panels are produced cut to length (up to 16.5 m). Confirm the factory cutting increment with a BOKKA advisor — the configurator marks such lengths with a "to be confirmed" flag. Slope cuts at gables and around openings are usually made on site.
