Project: Z5 and Z6 production halls in Wielogłowy

The investment, located in Wielogłowy near Nowy Sącz in the Lesser Poland region, involved the supply and installation of wall sandwich panels on production facilities designated Z5 and Z6. The investor — a manufacturer of gates, façades and fencing systems operating for over 30 years — successively expanded its technology and production centre between 2013 and 2019, which required staged deliveries of insulation material with repeatable technical parameters across multiple campaigns.

Design challenge

Industrial halls of this scale require a lightweight envelope that ensures stable thermal performance compliant with current WT building regulations (U-value targets typically below 0.23 W/m²K for external walls), air-tightness and an appropriate reaction-to-fire classification. An additional challenge was maintaining consistent façade aesthetics and colour matching (RAL tolerance) over the several-year horizon of successive investment stages — a significant logistical and manufacturing criterion when deliveries are spread over time and coil batches may vary.

Applied solution

The external walls of halls Z5 and Z6 were clad with insPIRe® sandwich panels manufactured by Gór-Stal, featuring a PIR polyurethane core. This type of polyurethane insulation delivers a very low thermal conductivity coefficient (λ ≈ 0.022 W/mK) at relatively modest panel thicknesses, which translates into an optimal wall build-up and reduced loading on the steel structural frame. Panels were installed horizontally using concealed fasteners and supplied — under BOKKA’s regional sales coverage for southern Poland — directly to the Wielogłowy construction site.

Final result

The Z5 and Z6 facilities were effectively closed-in thermally using a coherent cladding system meeting fire class B-s1,d0 requirements. The long-term cooperation between the panel manufacturer and the investor confirmed the quality consistency of both the PIR core and the steel facings, while the phased wall installation enabled the smooth commissioning of successive production areas at the Nowy Sącz technology centre.
