Fixing CH ceiling panels to the supporting structure

Junction function

Fixing CH ceiling panels to the supporting beam = the same thermal-break system as in freezer walls (p. 23). Ø10 rod + PVC insulating nuts.

Cold-storage ceilings are suspended from the building’s primary structure (trusses / HEB beams) on Ø10 threaded rods arranged in an approx. 1×1 m grid.

Critical installation aspects

  • Ø10 rod is standard for cold/freezer rooms with chamber width <8 m.
  • PVC nut + PVC washer ABSOLUTELY REQUIRED.
  • 3-layer seal (PUR + sealant + PES).
  • Rod spacing per structural design + loads (typically 1×1 m).
