Junction function
Cold storage fixing t > 0°C = standard scheme for a working cold room (typically +2…+10°C). Compared to typical industrial walls (insPIRe S):
- AISI 304/316 stainless steel fasteners — in cold rooms water condensation is constant; galvanised coating corrodes within 5–10 years.
- Double sealing — PES tape + plastic sealant on both sides.
- PUR foam in panel joints (cold room + corridor have different temperatures → continuous structural work).
Critical installation aspects
- Stainless steel fastener only — standard galvanised steel MUST NOT be used in cold rooms; condensation → corrosion → leak after 5 years.
- Layout of 3 fasteners per 1000 mm width — as in typical S.
- PUR foam (item 04) in panel joints + plastic sealant on both sides.
- Plastic sealant on both sides (items 05, 06) — vapour barrier on the cold room side + moisture protection on the corridor side.
- Pressure test of the wall before handover — detects leaks in panel joints.
