Junction function

Gate lintel in a horizontal layout with concealed U fixing — a combination of two optimisations:

1. Horizontal layout — panels continue at the sides of the gate (fewer cut edges vs vertical layout).
2. Concealed U fixing — fasteners invisible from the outside, smooth facade, premium aesthetics.

This is the solution for car showrooms, premium warehouses and retail buildings with low roofs where the facade is part of the marketing (project photos in the client’s brochures).

Critical installation aspects

• Steel lintel beam (item 03) — designed for gate weight + weight of the panel strip above the gate. Typically IPE 180-240 for gates 4-6 m wide.
• Panels above the lintel fixed to the lintel beam + upper structure, with double fastener density in the 30 cm strip from the beam. Fasteners concealed in the U joint.
• OB-20 lintel flashing (item 04) across the full opening width, OB-21 side flashing (item 05) on each side.
• OB-01 corner flashing at the 4 corners of the gate opening + PES gasket (item 07) between flashing and panel (the flat U surface → easier flashing contact than with S).
• Panel strip below the lintel (between the beam and the floor at the gate sides) — continuation of horizontal panels. Edges cut at the gate finished with OB-21.
• Roller box seated in the structural zone above the lintel beam.
