Junction function
Roof start at a fire wall = the lower joint between the roof and the wall (most often an inter-segment wall in twin halls). Critical for:
- Fire safety REI 60-120 per PN-EN 13501-2.
- Watertightness — water runs down the fire wall and must be drained off.
Critical installation aspects
- OB-12 drip edge drains water from the roof away from the wall.
- OB-07 on the inside provides masking from the interior.
- Butyl sealant (item 09) seals the gaps — critical.
- Thermal insulation infill (item 08) = mineral wool class A1 for the fire wall.
- Mechanical fastener to the wall (item 12) selected according to the material (RC vs brick).
