Junction function
Wall junction in horizontal layout = analogous structure to the vertical one (p. 21). Geometric difference:
- Panels terminate at the wall — in horizontal layout panels are longer, so the wall may feature multiple rows of panels, each meeting the masonry.
- OB-19 + OB-07 flashings continued along the full height of the wall.
All other principles are identical — mineral wool in the gap, masonry waterproofing, verification of geometric deviations in the shell stage.
Critical installation aspects
- Multi-row panels meeting the masonry — each row requires independent OB-19 fixing to the wall and to the panel.
- Masonry waterproofing must be continued behind every panel row; without it the strip is left unprotected against water.
- Mineral wool fills the gap between panels and masonry along the full height; class A1 for fire-resistant walls.
- Thermal movement of masonry ≠ panels — compensation gap of 5–10 mm to be maintained.
