Premium vehicle showroom and service centre — building envelope using insPIRe® sandwich panels

The project comprised a complete building envelope for a retail and service facility intended as a premium vehicle showroom and authorised service station. Located in Poland and completed in 2018, the investment required solutions combining high aesthetic standards with technical parameters meeting current requirements for commercial service buildings.

Design challenge

A key requirement was visual consistency with the global architectural standards of a premium automotive brand — which translated into precise selection of cladding colours, panel module geometry and façade surface quality. At the same time, the envelope had to meet thermal insulation requirements compliant with the Technical Conditions (WT) in force at the time of construction, while also ensuring rapid dry-assembly installation to support a tight delivery schedule typical of dealership rollout programmes.

Applied solution

The façades and roof were clad with insPIRe® sandwich panels featuring a PIR polyurethane core. insPIRe® panels deliver high thermal insulation performance (U-values from approx. 0.18 W/m²K depending on core thickness) within a relatively slim cross-section, allowing for streamlined envelope build-ups while maintaining the required energy parameters. The panels meet a B-s2,d0 fire reaction class. Cladding profiling and the choice of coil-coated finishes faithfully reproduced the brand’s visual language — from uniform façade planes to detailing around the glazed showroom exposition zone.

Result

The building received a thermally efficient, aesthetically uniform envelope fully aligned with the manufacturer’s corporate identity. The insPIRe® system reduced cladding works duration and combined structural, insulating and finishing functions within a single component.
