Junction function
Corner wall + ceiling cold store = connection of a vertical cold store wall with a horizontal cold store ceiling (cold chamber ceiling). Critical for:
- Vapour barrier — the cold store must be fully vapour-tight (like a sealed can).
- Eliminating thermal bridge — the corner = potential condensation point.
Critical installation aspects
- Vapour barrier (item 05) = 200 mm bituminous tape or 0.3 mm PE film; must be continuous along the corner.
- Removal of wall facing within the 0.5×D zone.
- PVC profile + PUR foam eliminate the thermal bridge.
- Stainless fastener with washer.
