Junction function

Door lintel in vertical layout — panels arranged vertically. The door opening interrupts all panels within the opening width (typically 4–6 m).

Standard configuration:

• Steel lintel beam (item 03) — IPE / HEB sized for the door weight.
• OB-20 conceals the lintel on the façade side.
• OB-21 conceals the side jambs.
• Roller door box (item 11) integrated inside the structure above the opening.

Critical installation aspects

• The steel lintel beam must be designed by a structural engineer — 4×4 m doors → IPE 200, 5×5 m → IPE 240, 6×6 m → IPE 270 (indicative, static verification mandatory).
• insPIRe® S panels (item 01) cut to size beneath the door opening, maintaining narrow strips ≥ 200 mm. Shorter strips will not hold the joints — OB-21 flashing fixed to the beam is required.
• OB-20 lintel flashing fixed with washer-head fasteners (item 12) every 250–300 mm. Transverse joints sealed with butyl mastic.
• Door EPDM gasket (item 08) class BG3 — frost-resistant down to −40°C, UV-resistant.
• PM1 washer (item 10) at double density along the edge zone (30 cm from the opening).
• The roller door box requires a service opening from the interior side (typically a 600×400 mm inspection door).

Vertical vs horizontal

In a horizontal layout the door opening interrupts only 1–3 horizontal panels — easier installation, but unsuitable for narrow height modules.

Vertical layout is preferred for:

• halls with full-height doors (4×4, 5×5, 6×6 m)
• façades without clerestory windows (retail, warehouses)
• panels up to 16 m long (one segment from floor to roof)
