insPIRe® S 40 mm panel lock + joint

Junction function

insPIRe® S 40 mm side lock = the thinnest available PIR sandwich panel with a factory-fitted PUS gasket. Vs thicker variants:

• 40 mm thickness — suitable for external envelopes in halls with low thermal requirements (e.g. unheated warehouses, garages).
• U ≈ 0.54 W/m²K — does not meet WT 2021 for heated walls; DO NOT use for office walls.
• Ideal for unheated partition walls or as an external cladding layer.

Lock geometry:

• Modular width 1000 mm (standard) or 1100 mm (XL variant).
• PUS gasket (polyurethane) factory-pressed into the lock — ready for installation without any additional work on site.
• Visible fastener fixed through the tongue, head covered with an EPDM cap.

Critical execution aspects

• Minimum 1 mm gap between panels required for thermal movement of the steel facing (expansion ~1 mm/m at 0-80°C).
• PUS gasket = polyurethane sealant; factory-built into the lock; class 1 tightness per PN-EN 14509 (highest).
• Manufacturing tolerance ±1 mm — no on-site adjustment required.
• Installation sequence — always from bottom to top (vertical panels) or from the end support (horizontal).
