Junction function

Standard fixing of insPIRe® S 60-120 mm = the basis of all typical industrial hall facades. Longer fastener than in S 40, higher structural load capacity, allowing wider purlin spacing.

Critical installation aspects

• Min. 3 fasteners per 1000 mm width = purlin spacing typically 3.0-4.5 m.
• Tightening torque 8-12 Nm (torque-controlled screwdriver).
• Driving pattern = centre of the joint; deviation >5 mm damages the joint.
• Edge zone (3 m from the corner) = 4 fasteners / width.
• Fastener inspection after 12 months in industrial halls subject to vibration.
