Warehouse and Logistics Hall along National Road No. 9
The project involved the construction of a warehouse and logistics hall located directly along national road no. 9. The facility was built as an extension to an existing office building, which required precise alignment of the new hall’s massing with the dimensions and structural axes of the existing administrative wing.
Design challenge
A warehouse and logistics investment in this location had to reconcile several requirements simultaneously: a fast construction schedule typical for commercial facilities, compliance with current Polish WT 2021 requirements for the U-value of external partitions (U ≤ 0.23 W/m²K for walls, U ≤ 0.18 W/m²K for roofs), and aesthetic continuity with the adjacent office section. Additionally, proximity to a busy national road imposed efficient delivery and installation logistics, avoiding conflicts with existing infrastructure and live traffic.
Applied solution — insPIRe® panels
Both the walls and roof slope were executed using insPIRe® sandwich panels with a polyurethane (PIR) core. High-performance PIR panels (λD of the core at the typical level for insPIRe®, with fire class B-s2,d0) enabled a slim envelope while maintaining the required thermal insulation. The lightweight layered construction, installed using concealed-fix systems on a steel structure, significantly shortened assembly time compared to traditional masonry solutions, while a unified wall and roof system ensured architectural consistency with the existing office building.
Final result
The result is a fully functional warehouse and logistics hall with a modern PIR sandwich panel envelope, ready for immediate operation.
