Export project: industrial hall in Wieringerwerf (Netherlands)

The project carried out in Wieringerwerf in the province of North Holland is an example of the export deployment of Polish lightweight building envelope solutions. The facility was built in a market that imposes some of the strictest requirements in Europe for the thermal insulation of building partitions and for the aesthetic finish of commercial and service-related facade systems.

Design challenge

The Dutch investor required a solution that would meet stringent local energy standards while ensuring short installation times and repeatable visual quality of the façade. The key task was to select an envelope system combining the high insulating performance of a polyurethane core with a durable cladding resistant to the maritime climate of the IJsselmeer region — including salt-laden air, humidity and significant wind loads.

Solution implemented

The project used insPIRe® sandwich panels with a PIR core, supplied as part of the distribution network operated by BOKKA across southern Poland and Central Europe. The insPIRe® panels combine the low thermal conductivity of the polyurethane core (λ ≈ 0.022 W/m·K, translating into excellent U-values even at moderate panel thicknesses) with precisely profiled steel facings. They are classified in fire reaction class B-s1, d0 and installed using concealed fastening on a steel skeleton structure — a method that accelerates assembly and ensures a clean facade line.

Outcome

The completed hall in Wieringerwerf confirms that Polish-manufactured insPIRe® sandwich panels meet the technical and aesthetic standards required on the Dutch market. The rapid installation of prefabricated modules shortened the construction schedule, while the uniform facade delivered the desired visual effect. The project demonstrates the competitiveness of domestic lightweight envelope systems in exports to Western Europe.
