Freezer door — horizontal section (side jambs)

Freezer door side jambs fixed on a **Ø10 threaded rod** with **PVC insulating nuts**. Identical solution as the cold room door (p. 22), but **with more stringent sealing** for a 50°C gradient.

Freezer door — horizontal section (side jambs)

Junction function

Freezer door — horizontal section = identical solution as the cold room door (p. 20), but:

  • Heavier doors (typically 150–300 kg for freezer rooms vs 80–150 kg for cold rooms).
  • Greater temperature gradient (50°C vs 25°C) = thermal insulation performance at the fixing point is critical.

Critical installation aspects

  • PVC insulating nuts are absolutely mandatory.
  • Ø10 rod may need to be upgraded to Ø12 for heavy doors >250 kg.
  • Verification of structural calculations for freezer rooms with sliding doors (higher lateral moments).
  • Pressure test of the door frame + 3-year tightness warranty.
