Junction function
Freezer door — horizontal section = identical solution as the cold room door (p. 20), but:
- Heavier doors (typically 150–300 kg for freezer rooms vs 80–150 kg for cold rooms).
- Greater temperature gradient (50°C vs 25°C) = thermal insulation performance at the fixing point is critical.
Critical installation aspects
- PVC insulating nuts are absolutely mandatory.
- Ø10 rod may need to be upgraded to Ø12 for heavy doors >250 kg.
- Verification of structural calculations for freezer rooms with sliding doors (higher lateral moments).
- Pressure test of the door frame + 3-year tightness warranty.
