Junction function

A parapet is the upstand portion of the wall extending above the roof line — it serves as a fire barrier (fire-safety requirement ≥ 30 cm for warehouses >2000 m²) and an aesthetic feature (concealing rooftop equipment).

The parapet junction in a section along the slope (parallel to the water run-off direction) must:

• Seal the trapezoidal corrugations of the roof panel at the parapet interface — without this, water would seep into the panel.
• Connect the roof panel to the insPIRe® S wall panel — continuity of thermal insulation without a thermal bridge.
• Cap the parapet with the OB-34 flashing — top finish that drains water off the parapet.

Critical installation aspects

• OB-29 flashing (roof masking) — contacts the trapezoidal corrugation of the roof panel; PES sealing tape (item 08) is required between corrugations.
• OB-30 — complementary to OB-29, the second closing profile (depending on roof geometry, either one or both may be used).
• OB-02 corner flashing — closes the 90° angle between the roof plane and the wall; PU foam (item 09) inside ensures thermal continuity.
• OB-34 parapet flashing — the topmost flashing, with a 5% fall towards the roof (water drains into the roof gutter, not down the façade).
• Edge zone — self-drilling fasteners at double density: 6 pcs/m² on the roof panel within a 1.5 m strip from the parapet (wind suction).
• Section along vs across the slope — along the slope is a section parallel to the water run-off direction; across is perpendicular. Flashing geometry differs between the two sections (separate catalogue sheets).
