Junction function
Freezer mounting t < 0°C = a fundamentally different system vs t > 0°C (p. 12). With a temperature gradient of 50-60°C (freezer −25°C + corridor +20°C) you must not use standard steel fasteners — the thermal bridge causes condensation inside the freezer room.
Solution:
- Threaded rod Ø10 (item 05) passes through the panel — transfers the structural loads.
- PVC insulating nut (item 03) on both sides of the panel — eliminates contact between the steel and the facings.
- PVC mounting washer (item 04) distributes the load.
- PUR foam + plastic sealant + PES = triple water-vapour sealing.
Critical installation aspects
- PVC insulating nut ABSOLUTELY REQUIRED — without it, rapid condensation occurs in the freezer room.
- Ø10 rod = standard; for higher loads (200 mm panels + door weight) → Ø12 must be verified by calculation.
- Three sealing layers (foam + sealant + PES) = standard for freezer rooms; in cold-storage rooms two may be sufficient.
- Wall pressure test before handover — critical for HACCP in freezer rooms.
